We worked on this £3.5m Cat A and B Internal Refurbishment with Mechanical and Electrical Services, for our client SGN, in Cambuslang.

Category A (Cat A) Refurbishment Cat A refurbishment involves bringing the interior of a commercial space to a basic standard, making it ready for tenants to customize according to their specific needs.
The process typically includes:

Structural Work: Basic structural enhancements ensuring the building is sound.
Mechanical and Electrical Services.
HVAC Systems: Installation of basic heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
Electrical Systems: Provision of essential electrical infrastructure, including lighting, power outlets, and emergency systems.

Category B (Cat B) Refurbishment Cat B refurbishment tailors the space to the specific requirements of the tenant, involving more detailed and personalized fit-out work.
The process typically includes:

Space Planning and Layout: Custom partitioning and space allocation according to tenant needs.
Mechanical and Electrical Services.
Advanced HVAC: Tailored HVAC systems for different zones or specific tenant requirements.
Electrical Fit-Out: Installation of additional lighting, power points, data cabling, and specialty equipment as per the tenant’s specification.
Plumbing and Drainage: Customized plumbing for kitchens, bathrooms, and other specific facilities.
Fire Safety and Security: Enhanced fire safety systems and installation of security systems such as CCTV, access control, and alarm systems.
Interior Finishes: High-quality finishes including bespoke flooring, wall finishes, and ceilings tailored to the tenant’s branding and aesthetic preferences.
