Substation Reinforcement Works
We are pleased to have completed this substation reinforcement, with Siemens as the Lead Designer, for our client SSE at Couper Angus.
The project involved the following key construction activities:
- New Switchroom Building Works
- Excavation and installation of sheet piles
- Construction of concrete foundations and cable basement
- Erect steel frame
- Install cladding
- Building finishing works
- Construct new building access road
- Erect new palisade fence
Live Substation Works
- Remove existing AIS structures and demolish bases
- Demolish existing transformer housing (2no.) and remove transformers
- Install new drainage
- Construct new concrete transformer bunds (2no.)
- Construct new concrete skidway between new bunds
- Construct concrete bases for new AIS equipment
- Install new AIS equipment
